Bolivian Salt Flats Collection:

The Bolivian Salt Flats conveys the breathtakingly beautiful Salar de Uyuni, located in Southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes. It’s the world’s largest white salt flat. Aymaran Legend has it that the salt flats were created by the woman giant Tunupa. Tunupa at the beginning of the legend was married to her husband Kusina, but later came another woman named Kusku, who fell in love with Tunupa’s husband. After finding out that Kusku loved him, Kusina ran away with Kusina leaving his wife Tunupa. Devastated and feeling abandoned, the giant woman Tunupa weeped while breastfeeding her child. Legend has it that these tears then mixed with her breast milk forming the of Salar. The painting reveals Tunupa and her child walking over the salt flats that reflect the sky.
